Today, on International Women’s Day, I’d want to wish all ladies a happy holiday. And today, we’re going to listen to music about and for women.

Let’s look at how attitudes regarding women have evolved throughout time. Our first song is from the 1930s, but we’ll end our hit parade with the most recent news.

A song from the 1934 Soviet film “Jolly Rebyata,” the first musical cinema comedy. The film was a huge hit both in the Soviet Union and overseas. The picture was screened in the 2nd International Venice Film Festival.
