Happy Hour - Autism, octopuses and Darkness into Light! With Isabelle Marinov and Lynda Jacob
Author Isabelle Marinov joins me tonight to talk about her book Leo and the Octopus for the occasion of Autism Awareness Month. Leo is on the autism spectrum, and the book explores how he forms an unusual friendship with someone who teaches him about communication, acceptance and boundaries. The Luxembourgish author also talks about another of her successful picture books, ‘The boy whose head was filled with stars’, A Life of Edwin Hubble. Find out more about her and her books on www.isabellemarinov.com.
Also joining me is Lynda Jacob, representing Darkness into Light Luxembourg, taking place on 8 May as a virtual event this year. Started in Ireland, the event is now global and raises awareness about suicide prevention while raising funds for help lines and services to help people suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts.
