Artist Jeanette Bremin talks with Wendy about the artist’s role in times of crisis, inspiration, creativity and her own work and current exhibitions and events.  Bremin is participating along with other Luxembourg-based artists and 100 artists in total in Bitburg’s August Art event running through 28 August.

Jeanette is also hosting an Open Day at her Semaphore Art studio (along with artists Diane Jodes, Robert Hall and Rebecca Bremin) in October (http://semaphore.lu/) and participating in the De Mains de Maitres biennial in November (https://www.demainsdemaitres.lu/home.html)

We also spoke about the Galerie Clairefontaine (https://www.facebook.com/GalerieClairefontaineLuxembourg/)  and its current artworks featuring dancing men, covid masks and monkeys from an Austrian artist, which prompted our discussion on artists reacting to current events and the role of the artist in times of crisis.  The Clairefontaine is currently open Tuesday and Saturday mornings, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and by appointment.
