16-year-old Kalina Koeva is perfectly cast as Emily Dickinson, the Bard of Amherst, in a new original play by Eloïse Heger-Hedloy, a playwright just two year’s Koeva’s senior. Heger-Hedloy seamlessly weaves lines of Dickinson’s poetry into the narrative, painting a portrait of the poet while treating the audience to a generous sampling of her work.  The play’s director, Tony Kingston from BGT English Language Theatre, joins the lead actress and playwright in the studio for a delightful discussion about the play and the poet who inspired it!
